NBA Sleepers Part 3

Brevin Knight (Cha Bobcats, 97-98 RC) - Knight struggled in his first 7 seasons, playing for 6 different teams and avg 7.2 ppg, 6.1 apg & 1.8 spg. After injury problems and finally finding the right set up in Charlotte, he's been showing his skills. Over the past 2 seasons, he's avg 11.4 ppg, 8.9 apg & 2.1 spg. He doesn't have that many RCs (there weren't so many darn products/brands back then), but some of his key cards are Bowman's Best Atomic Ref ($6), Finest Ref ($15), Skybox Premium Autographics ($20) and Century Marks #'d 100 ($40), Topps Chrome Ref ($10), Ultra Platinum Medallion #'d 100 ($20), Stadium Club First Day Issue #'d 200 ($7.50) & Stadium Club One of a Kind #'d 150 ($15). Of course, I would go after his Auto RCs, which you could probably find well below BV. *He also has Auto RCs in 97 Scoreboard, which could probably be had at a steal! I think he'll be one of the top PG this season, and for seasons to come, as long as he can stay healthy!

Lamar Odom (LA Lakers, 99-00 RC) - Odom can be the savior of the Lakers. Kobe can't do it alone, and Odom has the potential to be the alternate go-to guy. He has the height of a PF, and can score (including from behind the arc), rebound, dish, cause turnovers and he's got handles. He's had some problems in the past, but in the first few games of this season (when Kobe was out) he sure looked like he was ready to unlock his full potential. I'm predicting that this year he'll post 18+ppg, 10+rpg & 5+apg. His RC values have reflected his lack of consistency, staying pretty stagnant over the past few years, making now an opportune time to pick some up! I like his Fresh Ink RC autos (all of which book for $15), Skybox Premium Autographics ($25) & Century Marks #'d 50 ($50), SPx Radiance #'d 100 ($50). His SP Authentic #'d 1500 has a BV of $40, SPx #'d 3500 is at $20. One of his most limited (but also cheap) RCs is Stadium Club First Day Issue #'d 150 ($18).

more to come!
