Jake Peavy is definitely back on top of his game. In his last 8 starts, he's 7-0 with a 1.17 ERA & 11.74 K's/9IP. His one no-decision came on 8/17 vs. Houston, when he went 7 innings, allowing just 4 hits, 1 ER, 2 BB & had 11 K's. He left the game with the score tied 1-1 in the 7th. Peavy now leads the NL in W's, ERA & K's.
His 01 Bowman Chrome Ref RC is finally starting to show signs of a rebound, after averaging around $40 TAC during August. The last sale that I saw was on 9/1, for $57.19.
Peavy's next start is tonight, closing out their current series with the D-Backs. A win would put San Diego a full game ahead of Arizona in the NL West standings. I think that if Peavy has a strong showing tonight, his BC Ref RC will remain in the $50's TAC range.
