Player Focus: Alfonso Soriano

Alfonso Soriano is one of the best all around players in the game. In his career, he has 215 HR & 218 SB. Last season with the Nationals he had an amazing 46 HR & 41 SB! This year, his first with the Cubs, he started out slow, hitting .270 with 0 HR & 2 SB in April. Then, in May, he pick up the pace hitting .302 with 4 HR & 6 SB. So far in June (4 games), he's hitting .579 with 3 HR & 0 SB.

I expect his 99 Topps Traded Auto, his only RC year Auto, to jump in price very soon. Right now, you might still be able to find one at a decent TAC, but don't wait too long. If he continues to improve his production like he has been, the ceiling for this card's value could still be quite a ways away. Since there aren't many listed on auction right now, I'm guessing people are waiting for prices to jump before selling. His only other RC card that appears to be getting some attention is his 99 Bowman Chrome RC (both graded & ungraded).
