Follow Up: Alfonso Soriano

Wow! Did you see Soriano's 3 HR game yesterday? I just did a "Player Focus" on him the 2 days before. In the next 2 games after that, he went 6 for 8 with 3 HR, a triple & 4 RBI. I think that Soriano & Felix Pie make a great 1-2 combo in the Cubs' lineup. Both guys are threats at the plate & on the bases.

There's been a lot of talk about Grady Sizemore this season, but I would have to say that Soriano is probably the better hobby value right now for lead off hitters, when comparing each of their sole RC year Autos to eachother. Sizemore's 00 Bowman Draft Auto has been selling for close to $300 TAC this month (it was closer to $400-$500 in April-May), while Soriano's 99 Topps Traded Auto can be had for around $100-$150 TAC, giving it more room to grow in value, compared to Sizemore's card, which is already quite high.
